For sale is a beautifully preserved and near-mint example of a completely stock 1980 Tokai LS-60 Love Rock in a "tomato soup" Cherry Sunburst finish. This guitar comes complete with its originally supplied and rare Tokai-branded brown Lifton-style pink-lined hard case.
Widely regarded as one of the finest vintage Japanese LPs crafted, this Tokai LS60 Love Rock mirrors the classic tone-woods of its Gibson-branded counterpart. Crafted with a carefully selected “old-growth” African mahogany body, a meticulously carved two-piece maple top, 1-piece ’59 profile mahogany neck and equipped with two original Goto “Patent Applied For” humbuckers.
Considering the guitar's vintage, it’s in remarkable condition, nearing mint with only a few noteworthy indentations on the rear of the neck, which have been pictured for reference. Otherwise, save for a few extremely light surface marks, we believe you’ll be hard-pressed to find another example this clean. All 22 frets retain plenty of life, exhibiting little to no wear, and all the original hardware and plastics are fully intact. The stock electronics operate seamlessly, delivering the intended performance, and both stock PAF-style Goto humbuckers retain their distinctive tone and power. The guitar still retains its "60" sticker to the rear of the headstock referencing the both the model number as well as the 60,000JPY price tag back in 1980.

Customers are responsible for covering all shipping and insurance expenses for both outbound and return shipments, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Prior to initiating a return, customers must make contact to obtain a return authorisation. Returned items must be in their original condition. Unauthorised returns will be declined and returned at the customer's expense. Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
