Fender Custom Shop 2009 MBS 1961 Stratocaster Relic Master Built by John Cruz
This is a very popular and hard to find "1962 Stratocaster Closet Classic" model built by former master builder John Cruz.
The body is finished in a sunburst color, and the "Relic Master," John Cruz, has beautifully recreated the paint peeling, aging plastic parts, rusted metal parts, and detailed weather checks, giving the guitar a vintage look.
The neck grip is a slightly thicker C shape for a '61, and the dark shade slab-rose fingerboard has a slightly flat 9.5R fingerboard radius and medium jumbo type frets.
The pickups are hand-wound black bobbins signed by Ms. Abigail Ybarra.
The frets have a very slight dent in the low position portion of the plain strings, but there is about 80-90% remaining overall, and there are no problems with the neck and truss rod.
